What do you put in a Holiday Meal Basket for the needy?

Holiday Baskets
Stacey E asked:

We have a nonprofit that has decided to give 100 holiday food baskets to those in need. Now, I have to figure out what to put in the baskets, do you give cooked food or food that they have to prepare? Canned goods, boxes of sides, drinks?

Yes, do not give anything that is already cooked. Give them canned and boxed foods, like vegetables and stuffing mix.

Things that arent perishable, like canned food, boxed food that you add to then cook.

Give dry goods and non-perishable foods… Like macaroni/cheese, tuna fish and canned chicken… You can also include dried pasta, spagetti sauce and some canned fruit and dry drink mixes…. Maybe some dried fruit or preserves…. Cereals/oatmeal things of that nature…Good luck
